Empowering growth through creativity, nature, and belonging
Personal therapy
A safe space to be You
Therapy offers a warm and safe space for you to reflect on your experiences, explore your feelings, and take meaningful risks. Above all, it’s a space for you to connect with your true self and become who you truly want to be. Personal growth isn’t just about creating change; it’s also about remembering and reconnect with who you are, your truths and values. In personal therapy, we often start by exploring your early life experiences and relationships to understand what has shaped you into who you are today. The focus, throughout, is on what I believe to be the 4 key areas that have the greatest impact in our quality of life: experiences, relationships, environment, and mindset. |
My role as your therapist, every step of the way
My goal is to support you with compassion and without judgment, helping you navigate both the discomfort and joy that this work may bring. With my knowledge and experience, I will be by your side making sure that you are safe and strong as you create and become what you wish for in your life.
I will make sure that our sessions move at a pace that feels right for you. Regular reviews and monitoring of therapy progress will help us stay aligned with your aims and needs; so that you get the most out of your therapy experience.

The healing power of art therapy
Art therapy is a powerful and flexible form of psychotherapy that uses art and the creative process as expression, to develop a deeper awareness and as part of healing. Through the art and creative process in therapy, you can assess deeper and faster to the unconscious or more repressed or neglected parts of self.
Whether in person or online, art therapy provides a unique way to express your feelings, reflect on your experiences, and explore your inner world.
Art can be fun and therapeutic on its own, but when guided by a skilled art psychotherapist, it becomes a powerful approach to healing. This is especially helpful therapy when words alone aren't enough, such as when helping individuals recover from trauma.
You can use metaphor, symbolic play, or storytelling to share your experiences. You can also use other people’s art that speaks to you.

“Marta, with extraordinary care and compassion, helped me explore my anxiety and feelings. Through art making she helped me explore my anxiety, and where it comes from. This has helped me to have a better understanding of myself and most importantly be more compassionate to myself. She helped me fundamentally change the way I think.”
As an art therapy trainee, she provided a safe and Understanding space for me to explore my anxieties and the many highs and lows throughout my training. Marta truly understood my trainee experience and was a constant invaluable support through out this time.” HC MA Art Therapy trainee |
How it works
You can engage in art therapy through various formats. Most of my clients use more that one format, depending on their circumstances.
- In-person sessions: by coming to see me in the therapy room. Here I have the safe and confidential space and all the art materials.
- Online sessions: Via video or voice calls, but also through instant messaging. For this, you’ll need to prepare the space and art materials at your end, which I will give you all the information you need.
When words aren't enoughArt therapy can be really powerful for those who find it hard to express themselves through words, or when words cannot tell ‘the whole story’. Sometimes, an image can capture and convey complex emotions and ideas quicker and more effectively than words. Art in therapy may also reveal what words have not; offering new perspectives and insights you may not have seen before. |

The art tracks your journeyYour artwork becomes a record of your progress throughout therapy. You can revisit and reflect on previous sessions, continuing to build on your artwork and journey of self-discovery and healing. |
Integrating the SelfCreating art can help reveal and connect different parts of yourself. Many clients find it powerful to see and reflect on their thoughts and feelings represented visually. This "whole picture", when the art meets the words, allows for better processing, organization, and transformation.
